Cold and Grey
Is it you or the hint
Maybe it’s weather, the vibe so flint
So cold and grey, gloomy and sad
Such unforgiving fray, the wind is mad
Farewell to the beloved confidence
Mourning for the precious self esteem
Missing the cherished courage
Amidst the renewal of historical scream
Rustling trees and the rolling paper
Fractured heart and the injured pride
Burning tobacco and crumbling leaves
Gushing tears and the gawking rejection
Voices inside and the birdsong outside
Underrated routine or the overrated rhythm
Despair and longing coincide
To meet the cold-shouldered vision
Is it me or is it the mind
so cold and grey, leaving belief behind…
